Changing the Narrative of Student Success

Abstract

As students transition to college, many question whether they truly belong at Pitt. When they receive that first exam score, or see their classmates doing so much better, this question becomes even more pronounced. If students do not receive feedback to show that these experiences are a normal part of even the most successful Pitt students’ experiences, they are less likely to succeed. Study Lab is changing that narrative. By providing students with personalized tools to develop their study strategies and connecting them to fellow undergraduates, students can learn how to overcome these challenges and exceed their academic goals.
