Incorporating Civic Engagement into Advising

By combining technology, best practices, and analytics, Pathways helps Pitt leverage data and manage advising and academic support resources to increase retention and graduation. Pitt Commons is the University’s networking and mentoring platform, available exclusively to the Pitt community. Advisors can use the platform to assist students in finding a mentor, connecting them to alumni in their chosen field, and developing students’ professional networks. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for access to the "admin intro tool" – a great resource for advisors to introduce students to alumni who can provide career guidance and support.
